Allison P. Brett, Partner


Allison is a partner practicing primarily in the field of Family Law and she has experience representing clients on all types of family law issues, with a focus on the collaborative process. She can also assist clients with their real estate transactions.

Allison attended the University of Calgary to receive her Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) degree and attended the University of Alberta to obtain her Juris Doctor. Allison articled at Schnell Hardy Jones and is now a Partner.

Allison was born and raised in Red Deer and has a family farming background.

Allison practices primarily in the field of Family Law, and represents clients on all general Family Law maters, including adoption, separation and divorce, division of matrimonial and family property, decision-making and parenting time, child support, and spousal/partner support.

Allison is a member of the Collaborative Lawyers Association of Central Alberta, a Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association Board Member, and a member of the Central Alberta Bar Society Member. She was previously a Board Member for the Central Alberta Humane Society for several years.

Allison also appears on behalf of the Director of Maintenance Enforcement on Interjurisdictional Support matters.

While Allison appears in both Provincial Court and the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, her focus is on Collaborative Law.

Allison understands that she meets clients at a very challenging stage in their life and advises her clients with honesty and compassion. She is a strong advocate at a time when her clients need someone in their corner.
